Noh Hong Chul‘s inappropriate remark drew mixed reactions among viewers.
On the 8th, Noh mentioned Rain’s �wife, Kim Tae Hee, while attending a press conference for his new Netflix show, The Hungry and the Hairy.
He gushed about working with the singer, saying, “Rain is the cleanest person I’ve ever met throughout my entire career. He smells amazing all the time and takes really good care of himself.”
The disputed comment came out while Noh was complimenting the singer. He said, “Many celebrity couples get a divorce, but I don’t think he’ll get one anytime soon.” While Rain was shocked by his remark, the comedian went on saying, “I’m just saying it because I’m very sure that he won’t divorce his wife.” He also added, “But if and only if he gets one, I believe she (Kim Tae Hee) would be the one to blame. After spending much time with Rain on the road, I’ve come to know that he is a genuinely good person.”
Many criticized Noh for making such rude and careless comments on his co-star’s family. They said he shouldn’t have mentioned his wife or anything related to “divorce” if he meant to praise Rain.
