On the night of September 2nd, TVXQ’s Yunho posted a statement on his Instagram.
The police investigated Yunho for staying at a restaurant in Gangnam until midnight on February 25th. As a result of violating the social distancing regulations, he was not criminally charged but received a fine.
The 2nd division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office requested the Gangnamgu Office to charge fines to 12 individuals, including Yunho, who were present at the scene.
In his statement, Yunho apologized, “As someone who has received so much love, I apologize for failing to abide by the regulations when I met with my friends past 10 PM in February. I have spent a lot of time reflecting on myself, and I am deeply regretting my past wrong deeds.”
Followed by the artist, SM Entertainment issued their statement, saying, “On September 1st, the prosecution clarified that they would not request criminal charges on Yunho for breaking the social distancing regulations with his friends in late February. Instead, he will fulfill the payment of the fine.”
