Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young will return to the small screen with an intense thriller drama.
Insider is an action-suspense drama that tells the story of a judicial trainee named Kim Yohan. When he falls into the bottomless pit while working undercover, he starts a battle to win the fate that was stolen from him. The bone-chilling psychological warfare and thrilling action will unfold on a stage where people’s desires are intertwined. The man’s desperate revenge against the world that destroyed him will bring catharsis for viewers.
Missing: The Other Side director Min Yeon Hong and Priest writer Moon Man Sae have joined hands for the project. The two lead roles went to Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young.
First, Kang Ha Neul turns into judicial trainee Kim Yohan. His life is turned upside down when he gets caught up in an unexpected incident after going undercover in a gambling institution to get proof of a corrupt prosecutor. He moved bravely for justice, but the only thing that awaited him was the cruel reality. In prison, he begins a survival for his revenge.
Kang will complete the complex narrative of Kim Yohan, who persistently pursues the truth. The actor shared, “Insider has such a captivating script. The atmosphere at the site is so pleasant, so I’m having fun filming. Please look forward to it.”
Lee Yoo Young plays Oh Soo Yeon, a businessman who hides a knife behind a smile. She has influences in various fields, but her strongest weapon is her ability to recognize the true value of people. She sees right through prisoner Kim Yohan’s unusual gift and makes him an offer.
“I’m excited to play Oh Soo Yeon, who is so different from the roles I’ve played so far. Keeping an eye on Oh Soo Yeon’s outfits and stylings will also be fun,” Lee shared.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s new drama Insider will premiere in the first half of 2022.
