Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun have confirmed to star in JTBC’s new drama Thirty, Nine.
Thirty, Nine is about the eventful daily lives of the three women who met in their sophomore year of high school and are now on the verge of turning 40. The drama will tell the stories of three 39-year-old women who happened to connect with each other. As they face unforeseen circumstances, they begin to live more heart-warming days of thirty-nine years old than ever before.
Son Ye Jin will play Cha Mi Jo, the head dermatologist of a clinic. She is a well-off character with a loving father, a generous mother, and a supportive sister.
Jeon Mi Do will take on the role of Jung Chan Young, who had dreamed of becoming an actress but ended up becoming an acting teacher instead.
Kim Ji Hyun will be Jang Joo Hee, a cosmetics manager in a department store. Due to her timid personality, she has not fully experienced a romantic relationship.
Encounter writer Yoo Young Ah will pen the script, and Run On director Kim Sang Ho will helm the series.
JTBC Thirty, Nine is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2022.
