Yeo Jin Goo will turn into “Planet Master” of the new Mnet’s Korea-China-Japan project Girls Planet 999.
Mnet announced that actor Yeo Jin Goo was chosen as the host of their new survival show GIRLs PLANET 999: THE GIRLS SAGA (hereinafter referred to as Girls Planet 999). Yeo will become the “Planet Master,” the guide of “Girls Planet” that connects the 99 applicants and the global fans who will be called “Planet Guardian.”
The actor expressed his joy, saying, “As a fan of K-pop, I am glad and grateful to be with Girls Planet 999. I want to think of the global fans as one family connected by a common interest in K-pop. And I would also like to support the dreams of the 99 applicants.”
“I think this will be a great oppertunity that will allow me to show a new side of me. I’ll be fully prepared and will do my best. So, I hope you will be kind enough to understand even if my skills are developing,” he added.
Director Kim Shin Young said, “Yeo Jin Goo came to be who he is now, thanks to the passion and tireless effort that he has put in for a long time. He is the best person who will be able to fully understand the dreams and passion of the participants and give them support and advice.”
Meanwhile, Girls Planet 999 depicts the journey of the girls from three different cultures. They will harmonize and grow together in a space called “Girls Planet” for K-pop to find the best combination. The show will premiere in August.
