SG Wannabe is in conflict with the past music producer.
SG Wannabe recently appeared on MBC’s Hangout with Yoo? and after it aired, many of their hit songs in 2000 ranked at the top of various music charts. Most importantly, “Timeless” won the nomination for first place on SBS’s music program.
As the interests grew, Pocketdoll Studio announced on the 5th that they are planning to release the live recordings under the title “Do You Remember” during SG Wannabe’s 2006 national tour concert.
However, SG Wannabe members maintained their position against the producer. Kim Yong Joon, Kim Jin Ho, and Lee Seok Hoon said with their respective agencies, “It is a matter that has not been discussed in advance. We express a strong regret for the immoral behavior of using SG Wannabe as a means of commercial purposes. “The release of related music has nothing to do with SG Wannabe.”
Pocketdol Studio is a company owned by Chairman Kim Kwang Soo, a former producer of SG Wannabe. There is no legal problem with the release of an album without SG Wannabe’s consent. However, from SG Wannabe’s perspective, it would not be a pleasant idea to see someone else release their best album by weaving hit songs without any particular theme or story.
Now, the attention is drawn to how to resolve the conflicts over the music release.
