Singer Kang Daniel is coming back with YELLOW, an album filled with his growth as a musician.
Konnect Entertainment released the tracklist for YELLOW through their official SNS at midnight on the 31st. The upcoming album will contain five total tracks, including his previous single, “PARANOIA,” released in February. It is Kang Daniel’s third mini-album which follows the series under the theme of ‘COLOR.’
It is noteworthy that the artist participated in writing all of the songs. His name was listed in the credits for not only the title track “Antidote” but also for “Digital,” “Misunderstood,” and “Save U.” What Kang Daniel used as metaphors in each of the songs are his unsaid feelings.
YELLOW completed itself by telling the story of duality, hypocrisy, and twists. The artist’s emotions were expressed through music, as all the tracks and the entire album are symbolic. He aimed to make an album so listeners could think and relate along with the songs instead of simply watching and listening to them.
Kang Daniel stated, “It was interesting working on the album because it has a lot of meaning to it. Though it consists of and started as my struggles, it could be about something anyone could have experienced. While it may sound unfamiliar at first, it will grow to be more and more captivating.”
Expectations for YELLOW have been higher than ever, with the comeback date, album name, and tracklist revealed. The new album will be released at 6 PM KST on the 13th of next month.
