Lee Joo Young has joined the crew of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s first Korean movie, Broker (working title).
On the 26th, Ace Factory informed Singlelist that the actor would be making her appearance on Broker. The film is about the people who come to know each other through a baby dropbox. Top-listed actors, including Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, Bae Doo Na, and Lee Ji Eun (IU), have previously been confirmed to appear in the movie.
Broker has been gaining attention as Hirokazu Kore-Eda has been working with Korean actors this time after receiving multiple awards for his work. It includes the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival for Like Father, Like Son and the Palme d’Or in 2018 for Shoplifters. �
While Lee Joo Young is currently active with OCN’s drama Times, Broker will start its promotions within the year.
