Ok Taec Yeon is currently in talks for the lead role in the new drama Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi (literal title).
According to media outlets, Ok Taec Yeon has been offered the male lead role in tvN’s new drama Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi. If he joins the project, he will be working with Jung So Min.
Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi is a new historical fantasy drama. The story revolves around a lazy royal secret agent, a divorced lady full of desire, and nameless women. They team up to investigate corrupt officials and uncover the massive conspiracy.
Above all, Descendants of the Sun and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim director Yoo Jong Sun helms the project, and Miss & Mrs. Cops screenwriter Lee Jae Yoon pens the script.
Reportedly, Jo Byung Gyu was offered the lead role and is positively considering it. However, his appearance became tricky when his school violence scandal sparked heated controversy.
Ok Taec Yeon is currently starring in tvNs’ weekend drama, Vincenzo.
