Kim Ye Rim (Red Velvet’s Yeri) heralded her new attempt as an actress.
SM Entertainment said on the 26th that Kim Ye Rim will be appearing in tvN’s Drama Stage 2021: Mint Condition (written by Bang So Min, directed by Jung Hyung Gun).
Mint Condition is a comedic yet warm story of an old man who has become a young man in his 20s due to a failure of an MRI machine. The show depicts the character as he adjusts to his youth by hanging out with young hip-hoppers.
Kim Ye Rim is to play the role of Hong Chae Ri, a nurse in the Radiology Department with fierce visuals and an independent personality. The rookie actress is expected to attract viewers with her confident attitude.
Apart from her activities as a member of Red Velvet, the artist has also been active as a host of the web-entertainment-show Yeri’s Room. Whilst Kim Ye Rim is challenging various fields, much attention is focused on her new appearance as an actress in Mint Condition.
Kim Ye Rim stated that she’s very excited. “I’m nervous to show you my acting, which was what I’ve always wanted to try. I will work hard to show you diverse sides of myself, so I ask for a lot of support,” she said.
Mint Condition will air on March 4th, at 12.10 a.m. KST.
