Singer Choa has been revealed to be the ninth runner-up for the OST of KakaoTV’s original Lovestruck in the City.
As Lovestruck in the City has been releasing masterpieces including various retro music that can only be enjoyed within the show, Buzz’s nostalgic and iconic hit song “Thorn” will be reinterpreted with Choa’s voice. The song is to be released today, on the 12th.
“Thorn” is the song that was playing from Eun Oh’s (played by Kim Ji Won) car while she was picking up Jae Won (Ji Chang Wook) in the first episode. After seeing Eun Oh singing the song passionately, Jae Won falls for her charms. As the song became the romantic subject matter between the two, it will now be inserted in the second half of the series, this time reinterpreted. The song did its job by playing a role in reminding the two of their first meeting.
In this acoustic version of “Thorn,” He Seok arranged the song so that it felt a little different from the original. With Choa’s emotiveness and excellent reinterpretation of the song, the OST maximized the drama’s sensibilities.
As Choa participated in singing the OST, she demonstrated her skills with a unique and clear voice. As she resumed her activities in various ways including the OST and YouTube channels, she is planning on making a successful return.
The 9th OST of Lovestruck in the City, “Thorn,” will be available on various music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on the 12th.
