Super Junior became the winner of Billboard’s “2020 Boy Band Battle.”

The “2020 Boy Band Battle” took place from Nov 18 to Dec 23 (local time), and the final winner was decided through a five-round tournament-style voting of 32 teams from around the world. The bracket began with 32 teams that “were determined through an editorial committee and only include bands that have been active in the past 30 years.”

And yesterday, Billboard announced the winner: Super Junior. The group once again proved the passionate love that global music fans are showing by beating out — in order — Aventura, the Jonas Brothers, Why Don’t We, CNCO and One Direction.

Billboard introduced the group, “After forming in 2005, South Korean boy band Super Junior became international stars years before the K-pop explosion was fully realized in the United States, thanks to hits like ‘Sorry, Sorry’ and ‘Miracle’ — and although their lineup has evolved, the group is still going strong today.”

Meanwhile, Super Junior is preparing to release their 10th full album, The Renaissance.
