A.C.E seemingly came out of nowhere to top NEW K.ID’s Weekly Chart. This is A.C.E’s first time winning NEW K.ID’s Weekly Chart and certainly won’t be their last. The five-member boy group has been growing in popularity in both the US and Europe. Recently in a British magazine, DAZED, A.C.E ‘s ‘Goblin (Favorite Boys)’ topped in ‘The 40 Best K-Pop Songs of 2020′. DAZED quoted that “A.C.E excelled with last year’s tumultuous, rock-heavy approach on ‘Under Cover’, and ‘Goblin (Favorite Boys)’, which pulls double-duty as self-hype anthem and a Korean myth-inspired, world building tool”. A.C.E was also ranked 22nd in a similar chart made by Paper Magazine in the US, making a name for themselves globally.

Coming in at #3 is CHOCOME, the first sub-unit of WJSN comprised of LUDA, SOOBIN, YEOREUM, and DAYOUNG. Forbes Senior Contributor and Billboard Columnist, Jeff Benjamin wrote an article on WJSN, saying that “WJSN has proven themselves to be a solid K-pop force.” Jeff also commented that with this sub-unit, WJSN was able to showcase a quirky side of K-Pop that the global fans were not fully exposed to. The success of CHOCOME is credited to not only the funky and catchy sounds of ‘Hmph!’ but also the digital-based environment that we live in 2020.

GFRIEND, ranked at #7, became the first K-Pop girl group to interview at Grammy Museum. GFRIEND recently made an appearance on Grammy Museum’s Mini Masterclass that invites various figures in the music industry and perform interviews. In the latest episode with GFRIEND, the six-member girl group talked about what it took them to become successful and how others can get their musical inspiration from. GFRIEND remarked that to succeed in music one must have his or her voice and constantly strive to become better.

At #8 is ONF who starred in a new web-drama series titled ‘Can I Step In’. ‘Can I Step In’ is the first web-drama series produced by eBay Korea and will be first shown on G Market’s official YouTube Channel, ‘INSSA OPPA G’. The drama series is expected to have 10 episodes with 5 main male characters having to adjust their lives when the main female protagonist suddenly moves into their house.
