While BTS Universe Drama Youth confirmed its release on Netflix, ARMY (mostly Korean ARMY) is still not warming up to the drama.

Recently, the drama Youth, jointly produced by Big Hit Entertainment and Chorokbaem Media, was reported to have confirmed its release on Netflix. However, its promotion phrase is sparking controversy among ARMY.

The project was known to be based on the concept of “Inspired by BU (BTS Universe),” which means that the story will be functional, completely different from the actual story.

However, the recent promotion phrase reads, “A drama that depicts BTS’s childhood,” surprising the ARMY. Since the characters’ descriptions that were released earlier included shocking sentences like “people think he killed his mother by setting the house on fire,” “a painful memory of being abandoned in an amusement park as a child,” “his family’s overprotection and his childhood filled with lies have deeply traumatized him,” or “life or death has no particular meaning,” ARMY is showing concerns that the drama will have negative effects on BTS.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently gearing up for their comeback with a new album BE on November 20.
