“99s” of tvN’s Hospital Playlist is gearing up for their comeback. Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeok Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung and Jeon Mi Do and the production team decided to start filming from early December and recently began full-fledged preparations.
According to industry insiders, director Shin Won Ho and his crew are meeting numerous actors to cast them for season 2’s small and big roles. Like the first season, 99s will be at the center of the story, but new characters have been added. They plan on finishing all preparation, including the casting, by the end of this month.
Some characters will not appear in season 2. It was earlier reported that Kim Hoon Han, who was involved in a love triangle with Jo Jung Suk and Jeon Mi Do, has exited the show after season 1.
Of course, the 99s band will be returning. The first actors are said to have got together to practice and strengthen their teamwork even after the show ended. Kim Dae Myung recently said, “We are almost the same age, so we get together often and share our concerns.”
Although the exact schedules are yet to be decided, the production team aims to premiere season 2 within June next year at the latest. Like the first season, the show will air one episode every week.
