Seo Ye Ji is in talks to make her comeback with a new OCN drama Island (literal title).

The actress’s agency Gold Medalist said, “Seo Ye Ji has been offered the lead role from OCN’s new drama Island and is reviewing it.”

Island is a work that delves into hidden secrets on Jeju Island, a beautiful island in the South Sea, where monsters that have been lying in wait to eliminate the human world for a long time target an heiress as their prey. The only person who can protect her from the monsters’ tentacles is the monster-hunter. The drama will put the puzzles of their fate and destiny together.

If she confirms her appearance, Seo Ye Ji will play Won Mi Ho, the only daughter of the chairman of the Korea Group. She seems indiscreet and supercilious, but at the same time, she is a woman who always looks a bit sad. She was born with a silver spoon but has been “exiled” to Jeju Island after making headlines for the worst “gapjil case” (gapjil is an expression referring to an arrogant and authoritarian attitude or actions of people in South Korea who have positions of power over others). She is appointed as an ethics teacher at Tamago High School, and soon, her life turns upside down after she encounters a train of ghosts and monsters.

Attention is focusing on whether Seo Ye Ji, who received much love for her role in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, will make her comeback with Island.
