Park Yoo Chun is still not following the court’s decision to pay 50 million KRW (approx. 44,000 USD) as compensation for more than a year.
On Oct. 16, lawyer Lee Eun Eui, a legal representative of accuser A, stated that Park Yoo Chun has failed to fulfill his court-ordered compensation payment of 50 million KRW (about 44,000 USD), even when the lawsuit came to an end in September of 2019.
She wrote, “Park Yoo Chun has been holding overseas concerts, publishing photo books, and continuing profitable activities, but still refusing to pay the damages for more than a year. During a detention trial, he reported to the court that he only had 1 million KRW (about 873 USD) in his bank account.”
“He received profits of his pictorial under one company’s name, then under whose name do the profits from overseas fan signing events or concerts go?” she added. “We don’t even want your apology, so at least fulfill your legally assigned duties.”
In 2016, Park Yoo Chun was sued by four women on the charge of sexual assaults in bathrooms of an adult entertainment establishment and his house. Later he was found not guilty of all four cases, but he filed a complaint against A on charges of defamation. However, she was also cleared of all charges and filed a criminal complaint against Park Yoo Chun in December of 2018 for compensation. Later, Park Yoo Chun was ordered by the court to pay 50 million KRW to A.
