BTS’s Recent Online Concert “MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E” Garners 1 Million Viewers and Earns about 50 Billion KRW

The second online concert by BTS attracted 1 million viewers from 191 regions around the world.

According to Big Hit Entertainment, “MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E,” which took place on October 11, has been watched in 993,000 viewers from 191 regions around the world. Compared to 756,600 viewers from 105 countries recorded in their first online concert (Bang Bang Con: The Live), the number of viewers increased significantly.

Initially, BTS was scheduled to hold “Map of the Soul ON:E” in Seoul in October and conduct both online streaming and offline performances. However, with the aftermath of COVID-19, the concert has been canceled and only went on as online.

The concert is estimated to have also seen a significant rise in sales as the number of viewers increased remarkably compared to “Bang Bang Con: The Live.” Considering that the cheapest ticket cost 49,500 KRW (about 43 USD), it is expected that the company would have made more than 50 billion KRW (about 43,462,390 USD) even by simple calculation.
