New Releases This Month: From BLACKPINK to TWICE: Comeback & Debut Lineup In October

On Oct. 2, BLACKPINK will release their first full-length album THE ALBUM in four years since their debut. The title track “Lovesick Girls” will present a country-style guitar sound and dark yet dreamy atmosphere. Jisoo and Jennie co-wrote the lyrics, while Jennie also participated as a co-composer. This upcoming album was prepared by YG and Universal Music Group for a long time, and world-renowned rapper Cardi B participated in the featuring of the fourth track, “Bet You Wanna.”

On Oct. 7, WJSN will launch sub-unit CHOCOME for the first time in four years and six months. CHOCOME (means the little one in Korean), which consists of Luda, Soobin, Dayoung, and Yeoreum, is a unit group that’s expected to be as cute as its name. As if to prove its name, the recently-released concept photos give off a lovely vibe. It was reported that their first album Hmph will include Baby V.O.X’s hit song “Ya Ya Ya.”

On Oct. 12, NCT will make their grand comeback with their second full-length album NCT �” The 2nd Album RESONANCE Pt.1. A total of 23 members participated in the album, with 21 existing members who worked as NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WayV, as well as new members Shotaro and Sungchan. The album consists of 13 tracks, including a bonus track, and conveys NCT’s worldview of empathizing with each other through dreams and becoming one through music.

PENTAGON is also gearing up to make their comeback on the same day in 8 months with their 10th mini-album WE:TH. This is the group’s first comeback since they gained much attention through Mnet’s Road to Kingdom and the first comeback with Yanan, who halted his activities due to health issues, making this new album all the more meaningful.

On Oct. 19, LOONA will return with their new mini-album 12:00 (Midnight). A total of eight songs were included, including the title track “Why Not?” Following their last album #, SM Entertainment’s Lee Soo Man acted as a producer once again. Previously, LOONA set their own best record, topping iTunes Album Charts in 56 countries with # and winning the first trophy at a domestic music show.

On Oct. 26, TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) will release their third mini-album minisode 1: Blue Hour, five months after The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY. If TXT delivered the stories of dream-seeking boys with “The Dream Chapter” series, this upcoming album is a small story told by five members before moving on to the next series.

On the same day, TWICE is releasing another album about four months after MORE & MORE. According to officials, TWICE will showcase a whole new side of them with the upcoming album. Expectations are rising rapidly on what new charms the group, who made a hit with every song they released since their debut song “Like OOH-AHH,” will show this time.
