Song Joong Ki was born in Sechon-ri, Dong-myeon, Daejeon, Chungcheongnam-do, in September 1985. An interesting fact about him is that the actor grabbed the microphone at his doljabi (a tradition where the child is placed in front of various items or objects that represent a certain future of the child with respect to his or her career) as if to foretell his future.
When he was young, we lived with a large family of four generations, including his great-grandmother. � From this time on, he received a strict family education and formed his character of “not moving a step forward unless he is sure about himself.”
Another notable thing about his past is that he has many pictures where his hair is either braided or tied. This is because his mother, who really wanted a daughter, raised him like a girl. She braided his hair in two pigtails, made him eat strawberry ice cream rather than chocolate, and had him ride a three-wheeler instead of a bicycle. This is why Song Joong Ki was considered a quiet and shy kid then.
