[Weekly TV Top 10] Amid Crisis in Broadcasting Industry, ‘Stranger 2’ Tops the Popularity Chart for Two Weeks

With the re-surge of COVID-19, the entire broadcasting industry was put an alert. Except for pre-produced dramas, all projects that are currently filming have temporarily suspended all schedules to prevent the spread of the virus. The same goes for entertainment shows. As television programming got messed up, several programs were either postponed or canceled. Let’s check out which programs have made headlines over the past week amid the crisis caused by the re-surge of COVID-19.

The Dramas on the 3rd week of August 2020

Even with the mixed reviews, Stranger 2 topped the popularity chart for two consecutive weeks. Flower of Evil, which reached the halfway, captivated the viewers with Lee Joon Ki’s ardent love and perfect visuals, continuing its uptrend to the second place. Attention was drawn to the upcoming schedules of To All The Guys Who Loved Me, which has only two episodes left, and its follow-up drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, when actors working on the projects were confirmed with COVID-19. Fortunately, there were no additional confirmed cases, but both dramas delayed their broadcasting schedules. When I Was the Most Beautiful, which advocated traditional melodrama, got off to a poor start with mixed reactions of “being dull” or “recalling past memories.”
