On July 14, Sitges Film Festival announced that Peninsula has been invited to the 53rd Sitges Film Festival, which will open on October 8.

Sitges Film Festival will be held in the Spanish resort city of Sitges from October 8 to 18. However, these schedules might change due to the spread of COVID-19.

Now, Peninsula has been officially invited to another major international film festival, following being selected as the official guest film of the Cannes International Film Festival.

The prequel of Peninsula, Train to Busan won the Best Director Award and Best Special Effects Award at the 49th Sitges Film Festival. Attention is focusing on whether Peninsula will once again be honored with the award.

Released on July 15, Peninsula is an action blockbuster that depicts the last struggle of those left in the ruined land.
