Vietnam’s local idol boy group “D1Verse,” jointly produced by RBW, a comprehensive content production company which created famous idols such as MAMAMOO and ONEUS, and Kakao M, Korea’s largest music platform operator, will debut with its first digital single PANTHEON: VOLCANO.

D1Verse’s agency, RBW Vietnam officially reported that the group is dropping their digital single on February 27.

Five elite members chosen from seven trainees through “We Will Debut,” which aired on NAVER V LIVE in September and Vietnam’s VTV9 in November, made a five-member idol group created with RBW’s “K-POP Incubating System.“

The group D1Verse, including Phú, Huy, Bình, Đức and Hoàng, contains the word “diverse,” ‘1′ meaning one team and ‘V’ symbolizing Vietnam. In all, D1Verse means a team that includes diverse Vietnamese members. Also, ‘Verse’ symbolizes the English word ‘Universe,’ suggesting that D1Verse will unravel the story of various ‘universe’ in the future.

D1Verse’s first album project “PANTHEON” is a series based on Greek and Roman myths with the ambition to “grow as an irreplaceable artist while creating a new legend in V-POP.” Their first PANTHEON: VOLCANO is based on a motif of Hephaistus, god of fire, who used to make weapons for the gods. This shows the ambition of D1Verse to use their dance, song, talent and visuals as their own weapons.

The title track “MONSTER” is a sensuous mix of intense synthesizer sounds and lyrics that express the pain after being betrayed by a loved one.

PANTHEON: VOLCANO will be released simultaneously around the world on February 27.
