In a recent exclusive report by Starnews, it was confirmed that Lee Jong Suk and Go Min Si will not be appearing in the new drama I’m Against My Romance (literal title).
Produced by Studio Dragon, I’m Against My Romance is a new work by Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and Sweet Home director Lee Eung Bok. It centers around the story of whether a reunion with an ex-lover is an extension of a well-known romance or the beginning of an unknown one.
Initially, Go Min Si and Choi Hyun Wook were cast for the drama, but Choi Hyun Wook declined due to scheduling conflicts, leading to reports that Lee Jong Suk was stepping in as the male lead. However, both Lee Jong Suk and Go Min Si have ultimately decided not to participate, sending I’m Against My Romance back to the drawing board for casting.
There were rumors in the industry about the possible cancellation of the production, but Studio Dragon clarified to Starnews, “The rumors of the production being canceled are groundless. We are currently in the process of casting.”
Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk has not been involved in any significant project since the MBC drama Big Mouth, which concluded in September last year, and the film Decibel later that November. Go Min Si, on the other hand, recently returned with season two of Netflix’s Sweet Home. She’s also been confirmed for Netflix’s new thriller series, Alone in the Woods, which is scheduled to air next year.
