BTS members RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will be enlisting in the military in December.
On December 5th, Big Hit Music announced on Weverse that the four BTS members will enlist as active-duty soldiers for their mandatory military services. Their official statement stated, “RM and V will enlist according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to enlist together. There will be no official events on the day of their entry into the recruit training center.”
The label also asked fans to refrain from visiting the entry ceremony to prevent safety accidents. They stated, “The entry into the recruit training center is a time where many soldiers and families gather. To prevent safety accidents, we sincerely request fans to refrain from visiting the site. Please send warm farewells and encouragement to RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook with your hearts only.”
They further stated, “We appreciate your ongoing love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook as they fulfill their military service and return. We will offer them the necessary support throughout this period.”
It was revealed that RM and V will enlist on the 11th of this month, while Jimin and Jungkook will enlist on the 12th. With the enlistment of these four members, all seven members of BTS will have entered the military. Last December, Jin, the eldest member of BTS, enlisted as an active-duty soldier, and J-Hope followed the same route in April of this year. Suga completed basic military training in September and is currently serving as a social service worker.
