Film More Than Family, starring Krystal, will be released in November.

Following the official invitation to the “Korean Cinema Today-Panorama section” in the 25th Busan International Film Festival, the movie More Than Family dropped the teaser poster and trailer, drawing keen attention.

In More Than Family, Krystal greets the audience as a reckless, aggressive, and brave 21-year old girl, Toh Il. After being involved in a passionate romance with a high school boy she was tutoring, she appears in front of his parents with a 5-month pregnant belly, revealing their intentions to marry. Ahead of her wedding, Toh Il decides that she must find her own birth father and packs up her suitcase, bound for Daegu.

The movie is the sixth film by AtoATO, the producer of The World of Us, Last Child, and The House of Us.

In the recently-released poster, Toh Il has a determined look as if to show her determined will. The three clues, “Hint: Lives in Daegu, Mr. Choi, a technology and home economics teacher,” raise curiosity about the story she will unfold. The teaser also amplifies expectations with retro-style comic music and a story that transcends imagination. The images of brave and reckless Toh Il give a big laugh, while the line “I knew she would cause trouble one day, but this is surreal” heralds the birth of the unrivaled female character.

Impressive performances of actors, including Krystal’s shocking acting transformation and veteran actor Jang Hye Jin, who has received worldwide spotlight for her role as Parasite, are drawing explosive expectations.
