Kim Myung Soo, Kwon Nara, Lee Tae Hwan, and Lee Yi Kyung Will Star in New Drama ‘Royal Secret Inspector’

KBS new drama Royal Secret Inspector �Master confirmed its cast of Kim Myung Soo (L), Kwon Nara, Lee Tae Hwan, and Lee Yi Kyung.

Royal Secret Inspector is a comic mystery investigative drama. It will tell the story of the secret royal inspector, a position unique to the Joseon Dynasty. Secret royal inspectors were appointed by the king and dispatched incognito to local provinces to hear the people’s stories and eradicate corruption.

Kim Myung Soo plays Sung Yi Gyum, a busuchan (a type of public official) in the Hongmungwan (administrative and research institute of the Joseon Dynasty). He is the kind of person who only lives for the moment without any goal or ambition. But he is actually smart enough to win first place in the civil service examination. After getting caught gambling, he is punished by being forced into the position of secret royal inspector.

Kwon Nara will play Hong Da In, a beautiful and spirited gisaeng (Joseon Dynasty’s courtesan) who is actually a damo (women employed in the palace to work as attendants in various government departments) working undercover. She somehow joins hands with Sung Yi Kyum when he is appointed the secret royal inspector.

Lee Yi Kyung will take on the role of Park Choon Sam, Sung Yi Kyum’s servant. He is a warmhearted and lovable character who talks nonstop and cries a lot but also has a lot of cunning.

Lee Tae Hwan plays the role of Sung Yi Beom, Sung Yi Gyum’s half brother. Being the son born between yangban (an aristocrat) and a servant, he finds himself in an irreversible situation and goes up against his brother.

Meanwhile, Royal Secret Inspector �will begin filming in earnest after completing all preparations, including the cast lineup.
