Shin Mina, Lee Jin Wook and Teo Yoo are set to star in Wed Thurs Fri (literal title), a new MBC romance drama scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2027.

The 12-episode series centers on a woman who reconnects with her first love after 12 years, exploring themes of love, forgiveness and second chances. The story unfolds around a restaurant called Wed Thurs Fri, which opens only three days a week.

Shin will play Cha Eun Soo, a married woman who seeks out her former lover after more than a decade, hiding her true intentions. Despite the life she has built with her husband, Eun Soo remains dissatisfied and yearns for something more.

Lee stars as Kim Dong Woo, the restaurant’s chef, who has spent years living with the memory of a first love he couldn’t hold on to. He works only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, spending the rest of the week doing nothing. His solitary, carefully structured existence is upended when Eun Soo unexpectedly returns to his life.

Yoo rounds out the central trio as Lee Won Pil, Eun Soo’s husband and an executive at Hangu Construction. Wealthy and successful but emotionally ill-equipped to navigate love, Won Pil has an unconventional approach to protecting those closest to him. His possessiveness and increasingly distorted desires complicate the reunion between Eun Soo and Dong Woo.

Shin’s credits include Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Our Blues, No Gain No Love and Disney Plus’ The Remarried Empress. Lee has appeared in Sweet Home, Squid Game and Dear Hyeri, while Yoo is known internationally for his performances in Past Lives and Leto, as well as the Korean series Money Game and Love to Hate You.

Wed Thurs Fri is slated to air on MBC as a Friday-Saturday drama in the first half of 2027.
