Cha Ye Ryun has denied allegations that she was a school bully, with her agency firmly rejecting claims made in an online post.
HB Entertainment released a statement on October 30th saying, “We saw the post related to school violence, but after checking the facts, we confirmed that the allegations are completely untrue.”
The controversy began on October 29th, when an anonymous user posted on an online community accusing a female actress born in 1985 of bullying classmates during her school years. The post reportedly identified the actress as a graduate of Junggye Middle School and included a photo of the school’s graduation album.
The accuser claimed that the actress had been a notorious bully whose behavior was widely known at the time, even among students at neighboring schools.
The anonymous poster also described the alleged physical abuse, claiming that the actress repeatedly slapped them so hard that their eardrum was ruptured and their cheek became severely swollen.
Although decades have passed, the accuser said they continue to suffer from depression and anxiety and receive psychiatric treatment as a result of the alleged abuse.
The poster further warned that they would provide additional evidence and testimonies from former classmates if the actress denied the allegations or claimed not to remember the incidents.
Following the post, Cha Ye Ryun’s agency denied the claims, stating that they were not true.
