Jung Hae In and Ha Young are getting tangled up in a very unusual romance.

Netflix has unveiled the main poster and trailer for Our Sticky Love, a romantic comedy premiering Aug. 7.

The series follows Go Eun Sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor who loses her memory, and boxing coach Jang Tae Ha (Jung Hae In), who suddenly appears claiming to be her boyfriend.

Director Kim Jang Han described the series as “a warm, easygoing romantic comedy,” adding that it follows two people building a love that becomes as impossible to pull apart as sticky taffy.

The newly released trailer gives a first look at Eun Sae and Tae Ha’s chaotic life together in the rural village of Gujin Yeot.

After waking up in an unfamiliar country hospital with no memory, Eun Sae is confronted by Tae Ha, who insists he’s her boyfriend. Between his scruffy appearance, a quiet town lined with traditional taffy workshops and its eccentric residents, almost everything about her new surroundings feels strange.

And she isn’t exactly convinced by Tae Ha’s story.

Still, his gentle attention slowly begins to get through to her. At one point, he tells Eun Sae, “Everything’s pretty about you,” before later leaning in for a kiss and saying, “The clumsy kiss… Forget it. This one’s for real.”

But the romance may be hiding something much bigger.

“We can’t get caught, no matter what,” Tae Ha says in the trailer, hinting at a secret behind their supposed relationship — and raising questions about why keeping Eun Sae by his side may be the safest option.

Our Sticky Love premieres Aug. 7, exclusively on Netflix.
