Disney Plus original series A Shop for Killers Season 2 has confirmed its July 22nd premiere and unveiled new character stills of Jung Jin Man, signaling Lee Dong Wook‘s full return to the action series.

Lee, who drew explosive reactions last season as Jin Man, a gruff but caring uncle and former elite mercenary, shared his excitement about coming back.

“It is an honor just to be able to return for Season 2, and I’m happy to show Jung Jin Man again,” he said.

The newly released stills show Jin Man, now back alive, seemingly preparing a counterattack alongside the Murthehelp team and setting a much bigger plan in motion.

Lee also teased a more layered side of the character this season. “Jin Man is someone who rarely shows emotional shifts, and he has almost never expressed them outwardly,” he said. “But this season, you’ll get to see moments where those emotions come through.”

Director Lee Kwon also hinted at a heavier emotional arc, saying, “In Season 2, Jin Man goes through many trials and painful moments, so there will be more scenes where he expresses emotion than before.”

Lee’s upgraded action work is another major draw. Stunt coordinator Jeon Jae Hyung, who also worked on the first season, praised him as “an actor who is already fully formed when it comes to action.” Lee reportedly handled most of his own action sequences, from firearms work and close-quarters combat to wire stunts.

Jeon added, “Season 2 features action set pieces in spaces we have never shown before. He trained extensively so he could pull off the blackout sequences and wire stunts himself, without relying on a stunt double.”

Lee also promised a bigger scale, saying, “The action has become even more spectacular. I was set that I wouldn’t let viewers down.”

A Shop for Killers Season 2 follows Ji An, played by Kim Hye Jun, who has completed a brutal handover and become the new owner of the shopping mall. Together with the newly returned Jin Man, she begins a full-scale counterattack against Babylon’s global forces.

The stylish action series premieres on Disney+ on July 22nd with its first two episodes. Two new episodes will be released every Wednesday, for a total of eight episodes.
