RIIZE’s Shotaro has spoken out directly to deny recent dating rumors involving aespa’s Giselle.
On January 28th, Shotaro went live on Weverse to connect with fans through a broadcast titled “Briefly before I sleep…” During the casual livestream, fans flooded the comment section with questions asking whether he was dating Giselle.
At first, Shotaro continued the broadcast without responding to the speculation, choosing instead to focus on chatting comfortably with fans. However, as the comments persisted, he ultimately addressed the rumors head-on.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of strange comments since earlier, asking things like, ‘Did you date Giselle?’” Shotaro said. “We don’t have that kind of relationship at all. She’s a senior artist at the same company, and we’re just close friends. It’s really not that kind of relationship, so please don’t get the wrong idea.”
The rumors began circulating online after claims surfaced that Shotaro had been video-calling Giselle, prompting speculation among netizens. Rather than letting the rumors linger, Shotaro chose to clarify the situation himself, offering a clear and direct response to fans during the live session.
