Lee Si Young has apologized after her group was called out for being too loud and disruptive at a campsite.
The actress took to her Instagram Stories to address the situation on December 29th. “I sincerely apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced at the campsite,” she wrote.
Lee explained that the whole thing was a misunderstanding about the booking. “I was told our group was the only reservation for the day, so I thought we had the place to ourselves,” she explained.
She also clarified that she wasn’t there for the worst of it. “I found out later that another team arrived in the evening. But because of my second child, I couldn’t stay late. I left after a few hours, so I didn’t know exactly what happened later on.”
She ended her post by acknowledging the importance of camping etiquette. “I believe observing ‘quiet hours’ is extremely important when camping, and I apologize again.”
The drama started when a netizen posted a viral complaint about a camping trip in Yangpyeong on December 22nd. They claimed their peaceful trip was ruined by a rowdy group that included the actress.
The camper described a chaotic scene, writing, “Young people were having a wild time, blasting music through speakers. One person was even walking around shirtless, intoxicated and swaying to the rhythm.”
They compared the vibe to a college party rather than a campsite. “Someone was on a microphone hosting games… We could hear the host and people screaming answers clearly inside our tent.”
The camper, who was there with a 5-year-old child, called the experience “mentally exhausting” due to the stress. They noted that while the on-site manager didn’t stop the noise at night, the owner visited them the next morning to apologize.
