Netflix has unveiled the teaser poster and trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy series Can This Love Be Translated?.
The Netflix original follows multilingual interpreter Ju Ho Jin, who is assigned to work with global top star Cha Mu Hui. As their unpredictable romance unfolds, the series promises flutter-inducing chemistry between Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung.
The teaser poster immediately draws the eye with Ju Ho Jin (Kim Seon Ho) mid-interpretation and Cha Mu Hui (Go Youn Jung) during an interview. Ho Jin is a gifted interpreter fluent in multiple languages, from English to Japanese and Italian, while Mu Hui becomes an overnight global sensation capturing the world’s attention. The tagline, “The hardest language is yours,” hints that while words can be translated, the feelings behind them may be far more difficult to understand.

The teaser spotlights how Ho Jin and Mu Hui first cross paths as interpreter and top star. Calm and composed Ho Jin contrasts sharply with Mu Hui’s unpredictable, free-spirited charm, setting the stage for a fresh and playful back-and-forth between two complete opposites. Also featured is Hiro, played by Sota Fukushi, often dubbed Japan’s “romance prince,” who appears alongside Mu Hee, raising questions about the role he will play between the two leads.
One standout moment shows Ho Jin saying, “I don’t understand her language very well,” only to hesitate—unable to interpret Hiro’s confession to Mu Hui. The scene subtly signals that this relationship will be anything but smooth sailing.
Adding to the appeal are the stunning global backdrops woven throughout the trailer, from glowing auroras to ancient castles and expansive lakes, showcasing breathtaking scenery across Italy, Canada, and Japan.
Can This Love Be Translated? premieres exclusively on Netflix on January 16th.
