Dating rumors have unexpectedly erupted between global superstar Jungkook of BTS and Winter of aespa.
On December 5th, speculation about the pair exploded across online communities and social media, with fans dissecting what they claim is “evidence” of a secret relationship.
The rumors are primarily fueled by alleged “couple items” and matching details. Netizens pointed out that both idols have similar dog-shaped tattoos. One viral post remarked, “Now that the identical tattoos are out, what else could fans possibly deny? It’s like they’re practically begging everyone to notice at this point.”
Old photos have also resurfaced showing Jungkook allegedly attending an aespa concert while he was on leave during his military service.
Netizens found this particularly suspicious, noting, “Fans were shocked when Jungkook used his precious leave time to attend an aespa concert. He’s never been seen at concerts for other groups under the same HYBE label, like NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM or ILLIT. So, his appearance at aespa’s concert really took everyone by surprise.”
Fan-taken photos from the event show a man believed to be Jungkook trying to stay low-key, wearing an oversized mask and a thick fur hat to avoid detection.
Netizens also pointed out that the two were spotted wearing identical slippers, pants and in-ears, and it was discovered that they were using the same format for their Instagram usernames. The usernames have since been changed.
The online reaction has been pretty intense, swinging from shock to acceptance. Social media is flooded with comments like: “They made it so obvious. It’s basically like saying, ‘Why aren’t you asking us?'”, “Anyone denying it at this point is just in denial”, “They’ve been so clear about it. Only the fans are the ones in denial”, “OMG, are they dating??”, “They should just go public already”, and “They actually look good together… though it’s kinda sad for the fans whose worlds are falling apart.”
Neither agency has commented on the rumors.
