The sparks are already flying between Moon Sang Min and Nam Ji Hyun in the first teaser for KBS’s upcoming weekend series To My Beloved Thief.
Released on December 2nd, the teaser opens with the sound of the nightly curfew bell echoing through town. As the streets fall still, Hong Eun Jo (Nam Ji Hyun) slips into the shadows—revealing her double life. By day, she’s a court physician, but by night, she transforms into the elusive thief known as “Gildong,” leaping across rooftops as patrol guards race to catch her.
Among the pursuers is Lee Yeol (Moon Sang Min), aka Prince Dowol, the king’s brother. “Looks like we’ve stepped on his shadow,” he says as he joins the chase, tightening the sense of danger as Eun Jo runs breathlessly through the dark.
But the teaser quickly shifts to an unexpected encounter in broad daylight. When Yeol crosses paths with Eun Jo in the market, he reaches out with a warm smile and says, “I’m flirting with you,” catching her completely off guard. Though she knows she should keep her distance, Eun Jo can’t help but be drawn in, her face flickering between caution and curiosity.
As Yeol steps closer, teasing, “And I’m going all the way now,” Eun Jo’s gaze softens in a moment that crackles with romantic tension.
The teaser sets the tone for the series’ signature twist: by day, Eun Jo is the prince’s beloved. By night, she’s the very thief he’s sworn to capture—without either realizing it. The tagline hints at their fated entanglement: “The thief I’m chasing… is the woman I’ve been searching for.”
To My Beloved Thief premieres January 3rd on KBS.
