
The production team for KBS2 weekend drama To My Beloved Thief shared photos from the cast’s first script reading today.
Lead stars Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min were in attendance, joined by the supporting cast and crew.
To My Beloved Thief is a romance set against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty with a supernatural twist. The story follows a woman who leads a double life as the kingdom’s greatest thief and the Grand Prince who chases her, until an unexpected event causes their souls to swap bodies.
Nam Ji Hyun plays Hong Eun Jo, a royal physician defined by her grit and determination despite her low status. Early reports highlight Nam’s impressive acting, praising her for delivering the character’s bold lines with confidence and emotional depth.
Moon Sang Min plays Yi Yeol, the Grand Prince of Dowol. He impressed everyone at the reading by perfectly capturing the clever prince, who frequently disguises himself as a royal secretary.
The supporting cast adds further depth to the lineup. Yim Jae Yi plays the second son of a powerful noble family. Han So Eun radiates charm as Shim Hae Rim, a young lady from a prestigious literati family.
A production official commented, “The drama intertwines various storylines, from characters facing their personal limits to the romance that blossoms within those struggles, all set against intense power battles within the palace. We ask for your interest and support.”
To My Beloved Thief is scheduled to premiere on January 3rd at 9:20 PM KST.
