Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has stated that she “respects and supports” the NewJeans members’ decision to return to their agency.

In a statement released on November 13th, Min Hee Jin said, “The members’ decision yesterday to return together must have been made after deep consideration and discussion. I respect and support that choice.”

She added, “I value the courage of the members who joined hands to protect each other despite the difficulties.”

Min stated that while she “can start anew anywhere,” she believes “NewJeans must be fully protected as a five-member group” under any circumstances. “I hope the members become stronger and NewJeans becomes even better, and most importantly, I wish all five members happiness.”

Min Hee Jin also addressed her ongoing, high-profile lawsuit with ADOR’s parent company, HYBE.

“Various lawsuits are proceeding, and it has been a difficult period for all of us,” she remarked. “The lawsuit between HYBE and me is entirely separate from NewJeans. I am doing my best, and I hope the truth will be revealed. I ask for your continued support.”

Min’s statement comes after all five NewJeans members announced their intention to return to ADOR.

On November 12th, ADOR first announced that members Haerin and Hyein would “continue activities with ADOR,” stating they “decided to respect the court’s ruling and their exclusive contracts after careful deliberation with their families and extensive discussions with ADOR.

Later that same day, the remaining three members released their own statement. “We decided to return to ADOR after careful discussion,” they said. They claimed the announcement was delayed because “one member is currently in Antarctica” and that they had to “announce our position separately since ADOR has not responded yet.”

However, the group’s full return is not yet finalized. ADOR has taken a cautious stance regarding the statement from Minji, Hanni and Danielle, clarifying that they are “verifying the true intentions” behind the three members’ desire to return.

On November 13th, it was reported that ADOR will soon meet with the three members for detailed discussions.
