The Black Label has become K-pop’s gold ticket once again.

The powerhouse label joined forces with the team behind KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix animated film directed by Meg Kang and Chris Appelhans, released on June 20th. The Black Label produced most of the songs featured in the movie, elevating its K-pop-inspired soundtrack to global acclaim.

Huntrix, the trio group featured in the film, performed tracks like “Golden” and “How It’s Done,” both produced by The Black Label. The in-film boy group Saja Boys also delivered catchy numbers like “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.” At the helm was Teddy, joined by producers Kush, 24, and Vince—all veterans in the K-pop hitmaking scene.

The team didn’t stop at production. Danny Jung took on vocals as Baby Saja of Saja Boys, while renowned choreographer Leejung handled all performance sequences in the film.

The hard work paid off. The KPop Demon Hunters original soundtrack debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s latest Billboard 200 chart (as of July 5th), marking the highest-ranking OST of the year so far.

The Black Label commented, “Once again, the producers behind K-pop’s global success are receiving an explosive response. We ask fans to look forward to their new music.”
