Lee Sang Yeob has his eyes on an ideal getaway with none other than BTS’s Jin. The much-loved road trip reality series Who Ride is making its grand return for the eagerly awaited second season, which kicks off this Friday. The upcoming season boasts an impressive roster of stars, including 2PM’s Jang Wooyoung, Lee Sang Yeob, and artist Woody.
Recently, OOTB Studio released a teaser for Who Ride 2, showcasing the star-studded ensemble and some exciting changes in the game format. During the pre-production sessions, the trio of Jang Wooyoung, Lee Sang Yeob, and Woody couldn’t contain their enthusiasm as the producers unveiled the show’s new concept. In this edition, teams will embark on single-day excursions to various spots, with more than 150 areas nationwide available in a territory-claiming style game. The stars were thrilled, with Jang Wooyoung exclaiming, “This sounds like so much fun!”
One of the most significant changes this season is the Loyalty Game, the show’s hallmark format, which has undergone a substantial upgrade. Rather than following a path established by the previous teams, all teams will now share a common travel budget. Ten teams will navigate a combined budget of 3 million won (approximately $2,146). The twist? If one team exceeds their budget, the subsequent team must make do with whatever funds remain, no matter their original plans. The cast quickly jumped in, stating, “The order matters immensely! I want to go first!”
To add another thrilling element to the show, the stars are actively seeking out travel mates for their day outings. Jang Wooyoung quickly reached out to his close friend, Young K, from the K-pop group DAY6, assuring him that they could go anywhere together. Meanwhile, Lee Sang Yeob is determined to travel with BTS’s Jin. He humorously added, “If that doesn’t pan out, I’ll just bring my grandmother!” His spontaneous comment about the family trip had everyone chuckling during the pre-production gathering.
Woody, on his end, showcased his notable baseball connections. He mentioned fellow cast members from another OOTB Studio production, Baseball Representatives: The League of Fans, such as Eom Ji Yoon, Yoo Hee Kwan, and Ha Seung Jin. Yet the real surprise came with his friendship with Koo Ja Wook. As the competition for securing travel companions heats up, viewers are keenly anticipating who will join each star and which team will kick off this fresh journey.
