G-Dragon, who recently made his grand comeback with the single Power, is set to release yet another single, this time reuniting BIGBANG’s trio for a highly anticipated performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards, thrilling fans worldwide who have long awaited their return.
According to Ten Asia, G-Dragon’s upcoming single will make its debut on November 23rd at the 2024 MAMA Awards, held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. While the premiere of G-Dragon’s new music is itself an event, the true highlight will be seeing the three members—G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung—on stage together, marking a monumental moment for K-pop fans around the globe.
It is said that Taeyang and Daesung feature on the new song, making this the first collaboration from BIGBANG’s three-member lineup, adding a new dimension to the release.
The upcoming appearance will be the first “official” reunion performance since the group’s last full lineup concert in January 2017, before members began military service and lineup changes began.
While Daesung and G-Dragon joined Taeyang for a surprise appearance at his solo concert The Light Year Tour in September, this spontaneous reunion was not a formal BIGBANG comeback. The 2024 MAMA stage marks the first official, planned appearance of the trio in nearly eight years.
