Circle Chart, formerly known as the Gaon Chart, has released its rankings for the 43rd week of 2024 (October 20th-26th). This week saw a strong performance from artists such as Rosé, Bruno Mars and aespa.
According to the Korea Music Content Association, which operates the Circle Chart, Rosé and Bruno Mars topped eight charts with their new song “APT.” The duo topped the Global K-pop Chart, Digital Chart (Circle Index: 51,445,270), Download Chart, Streaming Chart, BGM Chart, V-Coloring Chart, Belltone Chart, and Call Connect Tone Chart.
On the Album Chart, aespa’s Whiplash – The 5th Mini Album secured two wins, taking first place on both the Retail Album Chart with 394,311 copies sold and the general Album Chart with a total of 841,757 copies sold. Following them in weekly retail sales were ITZY’s GOLD at No. 2 and ILLIT’s ILL LIKE YOU at No. 3.
For daily rankings on the Retail Album Chart, the top slot went to different artists throughout the week: SEVENTEEN’s SPILL THE FEELS (October 20th), aespa’s Whiplash (October 21st-23th), Lee Seung Yoon’s Anthems of Defiance (October 24th and 26th), and SEVENTEEN again on October 25th.
The Social Chart 2.0, which highlights global K-pop popularity, saw FIFTY FIFTY in the top position this week, with Jennie making the biggest leap in rankings.
New songs that ranked within the top 200 of the Global K-pop Chart for the 43rd week include aespa’s “Whiplash” (2nd), ILLIT’s “Cherish (My Love)” (11th), Jin (JIN)’s “Ill Be There” (13th), BL8M and AKUGETSU’s “Blink Gone” (120th), and Jaehyun (JAEHYUN)’s “Unconditional” (182nd).
