Heo Nam Jun opened up about an unexpected part of his past, revealing that despite his now commanding, mature-sexy image, he was once overshadowed in popularity by his younger twin brother.
The My Royal Nemesis star appeared on the June 24th broadcast of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block.
When host Yoo Jae Suk brought up rumors about his brother, saying, “I heard your brother is tall and very handsome,” Heo immediately drew a firm line, replying, “He’s not handsome. By my standards, he’s definitely not a handsome face.” His blunt answer had the studio laughing.
Still, Heo was honest about the fact that his brother easily beat him in popularity during their school years.
“When we were in school, my brother was way more popular than I was,” he admitted.
The reason, he explained, came down to how differently they grew. “When I was younger, I developed much more slowly than other kids my age, so I was really short. My brother, on the other hand, was always tall, and he had a good frame and bone structure,” Heo recalled.
“He was always popular,” he added, candidly admitting his envy of his brother, who had been the school heartthrob.
