Hwasa, who was previously linked to dating rumors with a businessman 12 years older than her, has shared her thoughts on experiencing a ‘good goodbye.’
Hwasa appeared as a guest on the YouTube variety show Salon Drip on April 7th and discussed her duet performance of “Good Goodbye” with Park Jung Min at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards last year. The performance gained significant attention and even led to a boost in music chart rankings. Hwasa reflected on the initial mixed reactions to the song, explaining, “Half of the people didn’t understand the meaning of ‘Good Goodbye.’ They asked, ‘Is there such a thing as a good farewell?’ Many couldn’t relate.” She added, “But for those who got it, it really resonated with them. That made me realize I had to express the message clearly.”
When asked if she had ever experienced a ‘good goodbye,’ Hwasa responded, “I have, I am, and I think I will continue to do so.” She explained, “A good goodbye is about wishing someone well, even if there’s bitterness or longing. It’s about offering support as you part ways.”
On the topic of checking her ex-boyfriend’s social media, Hwasa calmly said, “I see it a lot. I look and think, ‘Ah, so this is how it is,’ and then pretend I haven’t seen it.”
She also joked about who might be listening to “Good Goodbye” and thinking it’s about them, saying with a smile, “They probably cried their eyes out.”

Her agency responded at the time, saying, “It is difficult to confirm details about the artist’s private life. We ask for your understanding and apologize.” Hwasa remained silent on the matter but later confirmed in March 2025 that she was single, telling hosts Park Na Rae and Han Hye Jin on Naraesik, “The three of us are all single right now.”
