Tiffany Young is opening up about her marriage to actor Byun Yo Han—and the emotional reactions from her Girls’ Generation members.
On the April 5th episode of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator 2, Tiffany appeared alongside bandmate Hyoyeon, where she shared candid stories about her recent marriage.
Host Kim Sung Joo congratulated Tiffany, noting that she had recently registered her marriage to Byun Yo Han. Hyoyeon admitted the news came as a surprise. “I was really shocked,” she said. “With Tiffany, I always thought, ‘It’d be great if she even gets married someday,’ because she’s so dedicated to her work. She’s completely in love with what she does.”
Tiffany smiled as she reflected on her relationship, saying, “I met someone I want to share my precious time with.”
She also explained why the couple chose to register their marriage first. “Of course, a wedding is important, but what mattered more to us was spending every day together,” she said. “We wanted to become legally married and be together as soon as possible.”
When asked if any of her fellow Girls’ Generation members tried to stop her, Tiffany recalled a memorable moment with Seohyun. “Maknae started crying, saying, ‘I can’t let you go,’” Tiffany shared with a laugh. “So I told her, ‘Seohyun, I’m 37.’”
Tiffany and Byun Yo Han first met while working together on the drama Uncle Samsik, and their on-screen partnership soon turned into a real-life romance. The couple officially registered their marriage this past February.
In a recent appearance on her YouTube channel, Tiffany revealed that Byun Yo Han made the first move. “He’s a born leader, and that’s how we ended up sharing this happy news,” she said with a smile. She added that they bonded over similar tastes in movies, fashion, and lifestyle, saying, “We respect and support each other.”
