Kang So Ra recently joked that she wouldn’t marry her husband again, though her reason left everyone laughing.
The March 23rd episode of the SBS variety show uh, but like, seriously!, Kang So Ra opened up candidly about her relationship, sharing honest stories about dating, marriage, pregnancy and life as a parent.
The actress revealed that she first met her husband, an oriental medicine doctor eight years her senior, on a blind date.
“On our first meeting, I suggested we just stay casual friends, and he calmly agreed,” she recalled. “I remember thinking he wasn’t clingy at all. He felt like a stimulant in my life, like dopamine.”
She added that their relationship officially began after she directly asked him where they stood while they were having drinks together. That conversation eventually led to marriage.
Kang So Ra also spoke humorously about how married life differs from dating. “We do fight,” she admitted.
“My biggest wish is that he wouldn’t take off his socks inside out. It really annoys me every time I have to fix them.” She continued jokingly, “He even puts leftovers with bite marks back in the refrigerator. For who? Are you watching this right now?” prompting laughter from the cast. Tak Jae Hoon playfully responded that habits like that could someday become “grounds for divorce.”
The actress also shared the story behind her second daughter’s pregnancy nickname, “OMG.” “She wasn’t planned,” Kang So Ra said honestly. “We took all the precautions, but somehow she still came into our lives. She’s truly a child of destiny,” she added affectionately.
When asked whether she would marry her husband again if given another life, Kang So Ra immediately answered, “No,” drawing surprised laughter.
She quickly clarified, “It’s for my husband’s sake. I’m a very demanding person, and I think he would have a hard time.” She then added warmly, “But if my husband wanted to, I would marry him again,” revealing the affection behind her joke.
