Nana is opening up about a frightening home invasion and giving fans a glimpse inside her home following the incident.
The actress and former After School member appeared on MBC’s variety show Omniscient Interfering View on March 21st, where she revealed her home, now equipped with multiple self-defense items.
Pepper spray and other protective tools were placed throughout the home. “After everything that happened, I got into the habit of keeping something nearby just in case,” she explained, adding that she struggled to return home for a while after the incident.
Nana also shared details of the night the robbery occurred. “A burglar broke in early in the morning, and my dogs started barking a lot, which woke my mom up,” she said. “When she went out, he threatened her, and they ended up struggling.”
She continued, “It was really dangerous, but more than fear, I just kept thinking I needed to get my mom out of there as quickly as possible.” Nana added that her mother eventually lost consciousness during the ordeal. “It really shook me up,” she said.
The conversation later shifted to her personal life, where Nana addressed questions about dating. “I date pretty consistently,” she said.
As her manager brought up her age, the conversation naturally shifted to relationships. When he said, “You should really be dating while you’re in your prime,” Nana replied with a laugh, “Dating is something you just fit into your spare time.” When asked if that came from personal experience, she simply smiled without answering.
Her manager added, “You should meet someone great and get married,” to which Nana responded, “I’m always meeting people.” She then shared her ideal type, saying, “I like someone who’s thoughtful and gentle. Looks matter less and less to me over time.”
Nana has previously been linked in dating rumors to model Chae Jong Seok, who is six years younger than her.
