Jisoo is speaking openly about past scrutiny over her acting and looking ahead with confidence to her new role.
At the press conference for Netflix’s upcoming series Boyfriend on Demand on February 26th in Seoul, the singer and actress addressed questions about her performance and how she’s grown.
“With every project, I’ve taken on very different roles, so I’ve had a lot to think about,” she said. “For this one, I talked a lot with the director to make sure I could show a better side of myself.”
Jisoo added that the character of Mirae felt like a natural fit. “This role fits me like a glove,” she said. “This time, I hope people say my acting is spot-on.”

Director Kim Jung Sik also praised Jisoo’s dedication, emphasizing her effort and growth throughout the project. “She put in a tremendous amount of work,” he said. “As the character grows, you’ll be able to see Jisoo grow along with her. You’ll really see a moment where effort shines even more than talent.”
With Boyfriend on Demand, Jisoo is taking on a character that moves between reality and virtual worlds, offering a chance to show a wider emotional range than before.
Boyfriend on Demand premieres globally on Netflix on March 6th.
