Agents of Mystery is gearing up for a bigger, bolder return.

Netflix’s mystery adventure series is back for Season 2, with Lee Yong Jin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do Hoon, Karina and Gabee reuniting to tackle even darker, stranger cases that defy scientific explanation.

Hyeri, a core member of the investigative team, steps into a fearless frontline role this season. “The scale and the world-building expanded massively,” she said. “Fans of Season 1 and viewers who love large-scale mystery shows are going to be satisfied.” She added, “I wanted to play a bigger role, so I focused on staying sharp and fully locked in every shoot.”

Kim Do Hoon also came in fully prepared. “I wanted to approach the mysteries more boldly and more decisively,” he said “I realized bravery is essential for solving cases, so I even started watching horror movies I normally avoid as training.”

Karina, the team’s energetic youngest member and unofficial wild card, echoed the effort. “I wanted to show a more evolved, more precise version of myself,” she said, adding that she practiced escape rooms and watched films to build mental toughness.

Season 2 also introduces new investigator Gabee, whom director Jung Jong Yeon said had exactly what the show needed. Gabee shared her mindset going in: “I focused on doing my part well, staying creative, and trying to piece together the story behind each mystery.”

This season expands beyond indoor puzzles, adding outdoor missions and unpredictable twists. Director Jung described the group’s chemistry as “sibling-like,” saying they bickered all day but came together instantly during crises. John Park added, “There were moments we could not have survived without this team.”

Hyeri summed it up best: “When we solved missions together, it really felt like we were one team.” Karina laughed, adding, “We knew exactly when to push and when to encourage each other.”

Agents of Mystery Season 2 premieres February 27th, exclusively on Netflix.
