MBC is launching an exciting new variety show just in time for February.
MyDaily reported on January 14th that a new program titled The Secret Friends Club is set to premiere on February 1 at 6:10 PM KST.
The show features a star-studded cast, including BLACKPINK’s Jennie, TV personality DEX, MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon, entertainer Ro Hong Chul, and comedian Lee Su Ji.
The Secret Friends Club is a reality show based on the “Manitto” game—a Korean version of Secret Santa. The show kicks off when the five cast members receive mysterious invitations to join the club.
The show starts with an individual competition where members must secretly prepare and deliver surprise gifts to one another without revealing their identities. Expect a fierce battle of wits as they try to keep their missions hidden while guessing who their own “Manitto” is.
The format then expands into a “Secret Manitto” team mission. Instead of competing individually, the cast will unite to carry out an undercover gift operation, aiming to create a special day for regular citizens. The show promises to deliver both exhilarating laughter and touching moments as small, secret gestures grow into a collective event of kindness.
The Secret Friends Club premieres Sunday, February 1st.
